Nirmita Classical Concert

Nirmita Composers Institute led by Mr. Chinary Ung, Cambodian-American composer and Cambodian Living Arts (CLA) conduct a workshop for young composers in Cambodia and Mekong region for two weeks in Siem Reap.

They had “Nirmita: Classical Concert” at the Apsara Angkor Resort & Conference on 23 July.

Composers and musicians joined the concert and played pieces by the composers from Australia, Japan, Taiwan, US and Cambodia as well as Chinary’s compositions. Her Excellency Ms. Phoeurng Sackona – Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Her Excellency You Sophea, Siem Reap Province Vice Governor and representative of US Embassy in Cambodia attended the concert. The Japan Foundation Asia Center Phnom Penh Liaison Office supports to conduct the workshop.
