In Japan, too, foreign workers\n                    work in a variety of fields, and the number is increasing every year. With the establishment of the\n                    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mofa.go.jp\/mofaj\/ca\/fna\/ssw\/us\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Specified Skilled Worker residence status<\/a>, it will become common for people\n                    from different countries with a variety of cultural backgrounds to live in the same community and\n                    work at the same workplace.\n                <\/p>\n\n                <p>The Japanese-language coursebook Irodori: Japanese for Life in Japan is a textbook for foreign people\n                    to learn basic Japanese communication skills that are needed for daily life and working in Japan.\n                <\/p>\n\n                <p>The basic meaning of the word Irodori is \u201cto color,\u201d but it can also mean \u201cto change a thing\u2019s shape\n                    or appearance and make it more beautiful or more interesting.\u201d We chose this title with the hope\n                    that this book would help you \u201ccolor\u201d your everyday life in Japan and make it more fulfilling by\n                    enabling you to build language and communication skills for speaking and interacting with the people\n                    around you such as your neighbors and coworkers.<\/p>\n\n                <p>Whether you are planning to come to Japan in the future and want to learn what you should be able to\n                    do before you arrive, or whether you are already living in Japan and wish to check your Japanese\n                    ability and increase the number of things you can do, we sincerely hope that this textbook will help\n                    you achieve your goals.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"text material\">\n                <h3 id=\"about_02\">Features of this textbook<\/h3>\n\n                <dl>\n                    <dt>Irodori increases what you can do in your daily life in Japan<\/dt>\n\n                    <dd>\u201cIrodori: Japanese for Life in Japan\u201d is a Japanese textbook for people who are living in Japan,\n                        or who will be living in Japan in the future. It teaches Japanese for different daily situations\n                        in Japan, including working, shopping, having fun, eating, and interacting with other people.\n                    <\/dd>\n\n                    <dd>The objective of this textbook is to increase what you can do using Japanese in real-life\n                        situations in Japan. These are called \u201cCan-dos.\u201d The textbook aims to build communication skills\n                        for everyday life in Japan through \u201cCan-do\u201d based learning.<\/dd>\n\n\n\n                <\/dl>\n\n                <dl>\n                    <dt>Irodori allows you to learn A1\/A2 level Japanese<\/dt>\n\n                    <dd>Irodori is made up of three parts: Starter , Elementary 1, and Elementary 2. Starter corresponds\n                        to the <a href=\"https:\/\/jfstandard.jp\/summaryen\/ja\/render.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JF\n                            Standard for Japanese-Language Education<\/a> (\u203b) A1 level, and Elementary 1 and Elementary 2\n                        correspond to the A2 level. At A1 level, you can make greetings and communicate in a very simple\n                        way by using expressions that you have learned. At A2 level, you can hold short, basic everyday\n                        conversations on familiar topics.<\/dd>\n\n\n                    <span>\u203b\u3000The JF Standard for Japanese-Language Education represents levels of Japanese in six stages,\n                        from A1 to C2. Irodori has established objectives based on these Can-dos, so by using this textbook, you\n                        can learn fundamental communication skills for daily life in Japan. Each activity can stand alone, but they are all loosely connected within one\n                                lesson. The number, type, and arrangement of activities is different in each lesson, but\n                                generally there are more speaking activities. You can write your\n                                    impressions of the activity, what you want to try next, and so on, in the comment\n                                    section. You do not need to understand the\n                                        grammar and expressions in detail for this step.<\/p>\n                                    <p>Depending on the activity, you will either listen to several shorter example\n                                        dialogs in several different situations, or listen to one longer example dialog\n                                        in one situation. Generally, if there are several shorter dialogs there will be\n                                        no script in the main text, but a \u201clistening script\u201d in the back. Speak freely. Some activities have this,\n                                            and some do not.
